The Armored Ashok Leyland Falcon is a commonly used model in regions such as the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, making it an ideal platform for armored passenger bus conversion.  The Armored Ashok Leyland Falcon is available with both diesel and gasoline engines  and a 5-speed manual gearbox and can be armored to the CEN B6/NIJ Level III specifications while maintaining a discrete profile.  In order to support the weight of the armouring in addition to providing a high seating capacity, Harrow Security Vehicles has designed specific upgrades for the armored Ashok Leyland Falcon to maximize the vehicle life cycle to provide a reliable solution for armored transport.

Details of Threat Protection

B6 Armoring, with a minimum ballistic steel thickness of 7.5mm provides protection against Armor piercing rounds. With the introduction of new armoring standards, the B6 armoring level of protection is now also known as VPAM 7.

By following the standard security enhancements, the firewall bulkhead and engine compartment are protected against ballistic threats and lower engine compartment protected against AP blast threats; armored Landcruiser is fully equipped to withstand extreme warlike scenarios. A B6 standard armored land cruiser from Harrow can withstand rifles like

  • Calibre 7.62 x 39 mm, FJ/PB/FeC, AK 47 Kalashnikov,
  • Calibre 7.62 x 51 mm, FJ/PB/SC, (FN) “FAL” / “LAR” NATO rifle
  • 0.380 Winchester FMJ
